Always had a love for reading about who and what happened to a great piece of jewelry, the historical value and the owners that had to have the piece. Interestingly enough jewelry is the one thing that when made well and has a great value is never going to go out of style. This book gives you a historical view on the piece of jewelry and reason why it was so sought after. If not for anything, it is an interesting read for any one who is interested in not only the piece of jewelry, but the historical value behind it. A must for anyone who loves looking and owning a great piece of jewelry or even imagining it is great.

Wonderful book with pics and information I've not read before. Saw it in Majesty Mag ad for about $138 so was thrilled to find something affordable that is so enjoyable. Will donate to local library eventually so it continues to be in circulation.

This is an excellent book as it not only provides stunning pictures of the jewels but it gives great background stories on the jewels and their origin and the fate of the original owners in many cases.

This is a wonderful book. It has beautiful photos and is also very interesting to read as it provides background and stories about the jewels that have come through the Christie's auction house.

Beautiful book for anyone to own, but for collectors and those interested in important jewels it's extremely informative and an important reference.

A tremendous book packed full of information and photographs of some of the World's most famous pieces of jewellery. Enjoyed every page.
